Black & White – A Poem

Hey there everyone! I hope your week is going well. Here’s another poem for you. Enjoy 😊

Black & White

Ambiance of chaos encircles misery,
trapping agony in her fragile heart.
Memories regurgitated in cycles.
There is no escape.

Icy eyes grow distant and cold.
The pain coagulates in his soul.
A void of stillness grows stronger.
There is no escape.

Flamboyant skies turn black and white.
Disoriented silence grows deafening.
Both fall to the masquerade of joy.
There is no escape.

Wreckage – A Poem

Hey everyone, Happy Wednesday. I’m behind on my September TBR, but I’m not giving up. I’m also not that upset because I’ve been working hard on Alter Reach (if you haven’t read chapter one yet, what are you waiting for? 😉)

I have a poem for you, written 9 years ago. Enjoy!

Wreckage

Buried in the wreckage,
of disconnected dreams,
I’m but a ghostly mirage,
wandering the streets,
trapped in the past,
until this dark cloud recedes,
and I can finally say,
I have found inner peace.

No Turning Back.- A Poem

Hello! Happy Monday. This weekend didn’t quite go as planned. I didn’t get chapter one of Alter Reach revamped enough to post, and I didn’t finish Dreams of Gods and Monsters (but I still am on track with my September TBR challenge), but that’s okay. Not every day will be perfect and I had a great weekend.

I wanted to do a quick post today, so I thought I would share another poem. Enjoy ☺

No Turning Back

Like a fallen star,
on a cold winter’s day,
wandering, waiting,
I have lost my way.

Like a broken tree,
covered in thick ice,
I have learned my lesson,
and paid the price.

Like a winter wonderland,
suddnely turned black,
I have reached my fate,
there’s no turning back.

Light of Hope – A Poem

Happy Thursday! I’m so happy it’s almost Friday. This weekend is going to be dedicated to finishing up Dreams of Gods& Monsters, the second book in my September TBR, as well as getting a ton of writing done on my WIP, Alter Reach. If I can complete both of these goals, expect to see a review blog and, possibly, a revamp of Chapter One of Alter Reach.

For now, here’s another poem. Enjoy 😊

Light of Hope

A light of hope flickers,
in silence of the night,
vivifying this somber room,
crushing eager darkness,
and masking all misery,
beyond these four walls.

Frozen – A Poem

Hi everyone. Another poem for you to enjoy. 😊

Frozen

The warmth of your embrace
melted the pain away.
Whenever I felt cold inside,
I turned to your love’s flame.
But now that you’re gone,
the fire has been extinguished;
Sorrow is frozen in my soul
and my heart has been covered with ice.

Phoenix- A Poem

Hello and Happy Labor Day weekend. Here is another poem for you. Enjoy. 😊

Phoenix

Embrace the chaos,
as a white dove awakens,
on the red horizon,
of bleached reality.

Silence the destruction,
as a white dove falls,
on the cold stone of earth;
another fatality.

Reach across the moon,
to the birth of a Phoenix;
a breath of fresh air,
and an end to brutality.

The Cure – A Poem

Happy Tuesday! Another poem for you. I wrote this one nine years ago. Enjoy. 😊

The Cure

Synchronise the flow of injections,
catalogue episodes of heartache.
Go to sleep, floating into reverie,
soon the pain will be worthwhile.

Cut the entangled spiderweb of lies,
turn flashbacks into ruins of hope.
Open your eyes to the gleaming sun,
and breathe in deep, heaven’s scent.

The cure to inner helplessness,
let agony be disintegrated within.
Flee from occurrences of false love.
Challenge the truth, fight illusions.

I hope you have a great week. A new book review is coming soon!

As It Seems – A Poem

Hi everyone! I hope your Saturday is going well. I wanted to post another poem. Enjoy!

As It Seems

It’s like a nightmare,
but you’re wide awake.
Holding on to what little
hope there is left today.

Faced with the prospect
of losing what has been
so wrongly taken for granted,
for so many years.

A burning ache deep in
the pit of your soul,
assures you it’s probably,
as bad as it seems.

Final Outcome – A Poem

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Final Outcome

The blame resides on her shoulders,
pressing down until she can’t stand.
Breathe in deep and choke a scream,
reality has dealt another cruel hand.

Too weak to leave, too weak to stay,
this tragedy sinks down to her core.
Decaying into a pile of nothingness,
she cannot live like this anymore.

Tearing away all the beauty and grace,
her soul crumbles and her spirit turns numb.
And with nothing left to fight for,
she prepares to face the final outcome.

Cycle – A Poem

Happy Weekend! I failed miserably at keeping up with my weekly poetry post. I’m still going to try to post poems on a semi regular basis, and I would like to start writing them again. Hopefully sharing my work will bring back that inspiration. 😊

Cycle

My heart would start relapsing,
my conscious would stop reacting.
I would dance in the fire again.

My brain would be screaming,
but my soul would be bleeding,
and the cycle would repeat over again.

The truth and lies collide,
and the pain eventually subsides.
I vow to never let it happen again.

This one was written 9 years ago. I hope you enjoy. I have a pretty busy weekend ahead, but I will try to post again this weekend. My main goal is to work more on Alter Reach.

Let me know what your weekend plans are.
