Tick Tock – A Poem

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day. We cooked some stuff peppers and hung out at home.

I have another poem for you today. Enjoy 😊

Tick Tock

The ticking of the clock,
is so painful to my ears,
constant noise…

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…

So sane and logical,
so unreal, a fantasy,
compared to fast-paced reality.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…

If I tear the clock off my wall,
and turn back the hands,
will I turn back time?

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock

Let me know what you did for Valentine’s Day in the comments. Enjoy your Thursday!

Angel – A Poem

Happy Superbowl Sunday! I’ll be heading to my Dad’s later today to watch the game. Another poem for you. Enjoy 😊

Angel

Graceful charm,
intertwined with,
the delicate essence,
of angels in heaven.

Harbor my heart,
in your eyes,
and steal my soul,
with one smile.

The air I breathe,
my pulse, my life.
You and only you.
My angel.

Have a great Sunday. If you’re watching the game, enjoy! I hope your team wins 😉

As it Seems – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! I have another poem for you today. Enjoy 😊

As it Seems

It’s like a nightmare,
but you’re wide awake.
Holding on to what little
hope there is left today.

Faced with the prospect
of losing what has been
so wrongly taken for granted,
for so many years.

A burning ache deep
in the pit of your soul,
assures you it’s probably,
as bad as it seems.

What are your plans this weekend? More writing for me!

Black Hole – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday. Short post today. Enjoy. 😊

Black Hole

You have made
yourself a bed
at the bottom of
the blackest hole.
Now you’re forced
to lie in it,
and that’s the reason,
you’re unable to
see the sun anymore.

I have lots of reading, writing and cleaning to catch up on, so I’m happy it is Friday! What are your plans for the weekend?

A Story of a Dove – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday. We were disappointed that the Buffalo Bills didn’t make the playoffs but at least I got to spend time with my Dad. 😊

Another poem for you today. I’m a bit behind on my reading schedule but I should have a book review coming soon!

Enjoy 😊

A Story of a Dove

The streets were empty,
inside was warm,
she begged for mercy,
but the world locked the door.

She laid in the snow,
wings ripped once again,
and sang her song,
of untold pain.

Robbed of her happiness,
and no strength to crawl,
the dove turned to ashes,
with no where left to fall.

….

The wind began to rustle,
the world looked up with fear,
something high up in the sky,
wings of flame appeared.

“It’s her!” The world cried,
the little dove rose from flames,
“Here she comes, here she comes!”
a great Phoenix she became.

Gracefully, she circles high,
over the world who betrayed,
stronger now than ever before,
she shall not again be cast astray.

In the Clouds – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday. I went back to work yesterday and I’m so happy to be back. There wasn’t any joy in being in so much pain these last two months, so returning to work was quite an exciting moment!

Here’s another poem. Enjoy 😊

In the Clouds

Patiently waited bedside for the end,
as your brillant star slowly burned out.
I once thought it was forever we’d spend,
but now I look at my future with doubt.

I sit with picture albums scattered,
trying to make sense of all I have lost.
For a long time, my heart may be shattered,
I must move forward no matter the cost.

I am staying strong just to make you proud,
until the day I meet you in the clouds.

I hope your week has been productive and happy.

Tangled – A Poem

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was a bad pain day, so I disconnected to take care of myself. It seems to be better today, so I’m praying it was just a fluke and that I am getting better. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and wishes.

I wanted to share another poem with you today. Enjoy. 😊

Tangled

My one and only belief,
I’ve found the other side of me,
creating a divine energy,
and balancing my life finally.

Our time together has begun.
This cannot truly be undone.
Every obstacle, overcome.
We are tangled. We are one.

I hope you have a great Saturday. I am going to try to get some reading done (Santa brought me some awesome books, as if I needed to add to my TBR list 😉).

Masquerade- A Poem

Hi everyone! Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve?!

I’ve somehow managed to write a blog post every day this week, despite still feeling like crude. I’m calling that an accomplishment.

I will be spending the rest of my day with the hubby. It’s our only day “off” before the craziness of Christmas begins! I do have a post ready for Christmas Eve, but I will be taking Christmas day off. I’ll do a wrap up of Christmas day on Tuesday!

Enjoy the poem. 🙂

Masquerade

The desolation and misery you’re feeling now,
has been caused by your obsession with yourself.
All your stories of the things you’ve done,
are all fabrications, you can’t tell the truth.

Your mind is tainted, you think the lies are true.
It’s a mirage; your reality has been distorted.
Are the memories too much for you to handle?
Maybe that’s why you’re intoxicated by deceit.

When I am around you, I feel like I’m in a masquerade,
where you’re forced to where a mask to hid the shame.
You pretend to be someone you never wanted to be,
and I wonder if you’ll ever remove your disguise.

Have a great Saturday!!

Free Fall – A Poem

Hi everyone! 5 days til Christmas!

Today, I thought I would share a poem. Enjoy

Free Fall

What does it feel like to free fall,
and jump off this memory-bridge to fly?
Will the air whisper answers to all,
or will gravity steal me from the sky?

With the pale moonlight as my guide,
I’ll swim through heaven’s Eden-beam,
and find you waiting on the other side,
surrounded by white, as in my dreams.

My soul will finally find its peace,
and we’ll be reunited once more.
We’ll dance together in perfect release,
behind heaven’s graceful doors.

That’s all I have for you today. Are you ready for Christmas or are you a last minute shopper? I’m actually ready for the first time in years! (Except wrapping, I hate wrapping, haha).

Arctic Harmony – A Poem

Hi everyone!

If finally looks like winter here in upstate NY. I have a love/hate relationship with snow. It’s pretty, fun to play in, and it’s always great to have some of it on Christmas. On the other hand, it makes the roads really treacherous sometimes, even with all the snowplows and salt out. Also, it gets so cold, and I’m happiest when it’s 90 out.

When I was younger, and lived with my parents, our house was out in the country. Back roads, never got plowed, and a 20 minute drive to everything except the small town our mailing address was part of (which, when I was there, included one stop light, a gas station, a bank, and a tiny, over priced, grocery store). I went to college and got a job in the city of Rochester. It was a 45 minute drive from my parents house to there, which wasn’t bad in the summer, but it was awful in the winter. I’d wake up two hours early, so I could have an hour to get ready and an extra hour to drive. Now that I’m not making that commute, I’m about 8 minutes from my job, and everything is a 5-10 minute drive, it’s easier a lot easier.

That was long winded, onto what you clicked on this post for! I wrote this for a creative writing class in college and thought it was a good day to share it.

Enjoy 😊

Arctic Harmony

Winter paradise,
flowers wither with beauty,
in freezing delight.

Far from the struggles,
stillness that permeates the
arctic harmony.

Twilight perfection,
glistening under moonlight,
safe from truth tonight.

That’s all I have for you today. Does it snow where you live? Do you like it? Let me know. 😊
